Train ride and wines on Mt. Etna

This fascinating tour will take you on a discovery of the volcanic grounds of Mt. Etna, transporting you into a "volcano" of unique smells, flavors and beauties aboard the slow and relaxing Circumetnea Railway train! You will discover unique landscapes and the best wineries of the Etna wine roads.

Here's the itinerary for the day:

8:55 - Departure from Circumetnea of Giarre station.
9.18 - Arrival at the Circumetnea of ​​Piedimonte Etneo station and meeting with the agronomist guide on the train.
10:04 - Arrival in Randazzo and transfer by Wine Bus to the first winery.
10:30 - Guided tour, tasting of 2 Etna Doc wines and traditional plate of local products like cold cuts, cheeses, olives, extra virgin olive oil and bruschetta.
13:00 - Guided walk in a historic village. You will have free time for a coffee break.
14:00 - Transfer by wine bus and guided tour and tasting of 2 Etna Doc wines and traditional products at the second winery.
16:30 - Return to Circumetnea station of Piedimonte Etneo.

The Etna wine train is available every Thursday and Saturday. Departure is scheduled at 8:55 am from the Circumetnea di Giarre station. If you prefer, you can also board the train from the circumetnea station at Piedimonte Etnea where the train departs at 9:18 am.
We recommend that you arrive at the station at least 15 minutes before departure.

The 2 wineries included in the itinerary are located between Linguaglossa, Castiglione di Sicilia and Randazzo and will vary from time to time.
