Day 3 - Agrigento, Scala dei Turchi, Marsala: Breakfast in the hotel and departure for the Valley of the Temples, an incredibly beautiful archaeological area declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site. It's then time to go to the Turkish steps, or 'scala dei Turchi', close to Realmonte. The scala is a wall of bright white rock that descends in steps towards the sea, where in the past Turkish pirates, during the Moorish invasions of 500, found shelter after their raids. The day continues to Marsala, a fascinating town where art and traditions come together harmoniously before the sea and untouched nature. Don't miss the Stagnone Nature Reserve and its red sunsets, the perfect place from which to look over the beautiful salt flat of Mozia Island. Accommodation in Marsala.

And before heading back, it's worth visiting the town of Erice, which boasts some of the most stunning and fascinating panoramic views in the whole of Sicily. Climbing to an altitude of 750m you'll see wonderful Medieval splendour amongst alleyways and courtyards. Return to accommodation in Marsala.
