Overnight stay in Villa and Cooking Class in Ragusa

It is the ideal opportunity to relax one or more days into the heart of Sicily to discover smells and flavours of the past through recipes transmitted during the centuries and to learn the history and the culture of sicilian cooking.
You will spend your vacation at a wonderful noble villa dated back to the beginning of the 1800 in Ispica, in the heart of a place declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its treasures of baroque art.
Every day you will attend a cooking lesson taking about 3 hours each and after you will taste the prepared dishes coupled with local wines produced by the farm.
The dishes you may prepare belong to Sicilian and Ragusa tradition. Some examples: "arancini" (fried balls), focaccia modica style, ricotta cheese ravioli with pork sauce, "caponata" modica style (fried aubergines), fritters with almonds, honey and ricotta cheese.
You will be directly involved into the food preparation at your own working position equipped with apron and all the necessary tools.
The villa is located on the hills, a few km away from the sea, with a wonderful view on the Gulf from Capopassero to Pozzallo. This is the ideal departing place for naturalistic, cultural and food itineraries and you could also easly reach Modica, Ragusa Ibla, Noto e Scicli.
Rooms are located in different dependences a few meters from the reception and main area where you will have breakfast and relax among the ancient rooms, enjoying a piece of life of a Sicily belonging to times gone by.
